  172 cup TT
argh.... after turning on my newly built PC tonight it just isnt displaying anything on the monitor... the monitor stays on Stand by and initially says "no input signal".... when i disconnect the dvi cable from the back of the new pc and put it back into the running old pc the screen come back to life!.... im at a loss to understand what the hell it could be... i think that unfortunately something is broken somewhere....

everything has power, GFX and CPU is spinning up fine... just got no idea why the hell its not working!! What are the possible things which will cause no display WHAT SO EVER at all! no bios, start up, anything!??... faulty CPU? GFX? RAM? MOBO?

Spec is:
MSI mobo
E6750
2gig ram
8800GT
500gb hd
OCZ 600w psu

thx in advance all

Is there onboard graphics on the m/board by any change as they may need disabling because you are using the GT in stead of the onboard.

Beat me to it! Check the motherboards onboard graphics card first! If it still doesn't work, take out the graphics card altogether, then re-try onboard.

Tim : no, no beeps mate :(
Everyone else : well im guessing the mobo has somekind of onboard GFX... so you are suggesting connecting a VGA from the i/o on mobo to the monitor, turnon, get a display, go into bios, disable the onboard gfx then try again with DVI cable attached to gfx and monitor yeh??
