No fuel being pumped on Mk1 1.4?

Car started fine, then cut out and now won't start at all. Is turning over ok, but sounds 'dry' and we've checked the spark leads and they're firing properly.

We think it could be an electrical fault rather than anything actually going wrong, in the absence of Haynes manual where is the ECU located? And which are the obvious connectors/fuses to check and clean?

Thanks all.

silly quiestion but is there fuel in the tank.

run 12v to the pump see if it works check there fuel to the injectors

Yeah definitely had fuel in the tank. Was in a hurry to get it fixed so did several things at once before trying again. Took apart every multiway connector we could find in the engine bay and sprayed with contact cleaner. Then removed the ECU and cleaned that connector, put it all back together and seems to run fine again :) Whilst this was going on the battery was disconnected for an hour or so, which resets the ECU and so that may have been all it was.

Crappy French electrics to blame once again!
