No longer doing track days - what pads to use?

  RB 182
I've been using DS2500 and DS3000 on both standard claipers and 4 pots for some time now. The car will no longer be used on the track so is it still worth paying the extra money for performance pads?

What midrange pads are worth using at the moment and price? I don't mind paying extra for good stuff, but not sure if it's worth it for tootling around town.

Why would you want brakes which aren't as good as they could be ?

The car will no longer be used on track, I only use it to get to/from work and general weekend trips so track/fast road pads are an overkill imo. Just interested whats on the marked for midrange stuff.

OE pads are fine for a road car..

Pagid blues are ££ but really rate them if you ever fancy hopping on track again and cba to change.. great pads.

DO NOT buy Mintx 1444s they are plain s**t.. you can cook them on the road let alone on track days!! :/

(I don't rate EBC but some people do so I'll keep quiet)

Any branded dot 4 or better, I would just go to any motor spares shop. Is getting fluids from mail order really worth it?
