no radio stations?

Since fitting a new battery i cant pick up any radio stations, checked arial no problems there, anyone know what it could be?

If it's a standard headunit does the security code need putting in??

would be interested to know the out come of this as this is happening with my pioneer to..........also does your bit were it used to say the radio stations light up of its own accord as mine does intermitantly stay on :S
