Non start 182

Ok here goes hopefully some can help

Recently swapped engines on my 182 engine came from 172

Immobiliser light going out

Engine turns over fuel present.....bought Rs tuner no faults found on plugging it in

Swapped coil pack ....injector rail....... crank sensor

Still a non starter

Help please now I'm really lost....

Fuel present but is it actually coming out of the injectors? Check all fuses and connections and report back

Right firstly I need to understand the problem so lets start at the beginning for beginners. When you put the key in the ignition and turn it to position II (all power lights on), what is the "state" of the red immobiliser LED:

Flashing @ 1hz
Flashing @ 4hz
Solid (then OFF after 3-5seconds)
Solid (then on indefinitely)

Solid then off 3-5 secs

It says on clip ......on with key turned off and and off with key turned on if that helps

Done multiplex everything ok

Fuel injection ok

Immobiliser ok

Right so we've ruled out security and infrastructure integrity. Moving on...

... The basics - Fuel line off the rail. Turn key on but do not start the vehicle. Fuel flowing out?

Okay, disconnect the coil pack, remove the INJ rail out and have it facing up with the fuel line connected.

Now crank the engine... Are the injectors firing?

(It would be far simpler to scope the injector triggers but I'm guessing you don't have a scope)

Right, back in to CLIP you go and to PETROL INJECTION > PARAMETERS

look at the engine speed when cranking. Does it register a speed?

No rotation = crank sensor circuit fault... Investigate

Shows rotation = check injectors have +12v... Check fuses and wiring
