Non starting Cup (help please)

My Cup is virtually impossible to start if its not driven for a week or so. Twist the key in the ignition, let the lights go out and turn once more and nothing happens - totally dead. Try again and again and still nothing. Banging the underside steering column sometimes helps. Yet it will start perfectly when warm!

Its been to the garage 5 times since Christmas and each time they claim to have sorted it, adjusting/replacing ignition decoder, injection sysytem and a number of other things, but suprise, suprise a week or two later Im back booking it in.

Anyone got any suggestions, that I could pass on to my useless (and uninterested) dealer.

Cheers

what is the charge like in the battery when its been left for a week? the battery could have a bad earth. otherwise its going to be the electrics of your car - which i have absolutely no idea about lol
