Had a day off work today so headed down to Wales and did some exploring. The road between Bala and Dinas Mawddwy is spectacular! Not great for going fast though.

@Joe# took me up some daft skinny roads like that a while back, so difficult to pick up any pace lol

Not trying hard enough then, that road is awesome especially at night, used it quite a few times on road rallies

Nah, but at 3am there ain't much traffic about and all houses within a certain distance of the rally route are PR'd to make them aware there is a rally on that night.

How close do you get to the houses?

I get the image of old Mavis waking up to the sound of pebble dash against her windows from you skidding across her flower beds. "Damn street racers!"

Very close to some!! Hairpin bends round them etc.
First rally I ever did by Telford, we were flying down this Lane and the road went 45 right into 45 left, but straight on at the 45 right was someone's drive. One of the competitors in a Talbot sunbeam went straight down the drive into the garage and into their car and pushed that into a large chest freezer!! Fair insurance claim that night!
Police are aware of the events and any problems during the night are normally caused by dick head spectators thinking they are hero's after watching, trying to drive the same then crashing!
South Wales rallies were awesome, loads of spectators and a fantastic atmosphere.
