Not fitted one side of the supsension correctly!

Car  172 Cup
Still fitting the suspension, noticed I couldn't do the top bolt up on one side as well as the other.

Took them out again (and for the life of me I can't remember which side it was that wasn't doing up correctly) Noticed the rubber bits were facing the opposite direction to one another.

Which way is correct please?

Left is correct.

You should then have a similar piece that goes in the top once the shock is in.
 
Will just be that the sleeve isn't seated correctly.

Shock looks to be identical length overall.
 
That's fine mate, it's just the bump stop is slightly further down on the right one, it moves about though, the gap from the bush to the thread is the same so that's what matters
 
Thanks for the help. Saved me potentially putting it in the wrong way for the 2nd time oonly to find I had to do it again.

Still feels a bit crashy the suspension. Maybe the fronts are knackered:(
