Hello again,

Im really strugling to get the old girl to fire, and im wondering if it could be down to the flywheel tooth pattern.

I have attached a pic of a spare old flywheel have and you can see how i have calculated the 84 degrees BTDC to fire, however should the flywheel have a double tooth and then a double gap? I dont think the ECU will read this as a 60-2 as it more like a 57-2??

should i split the big tooth into 2 seperate teeth then remove one to leave 58 teeth and a gap of 2 teeth and 3 spaces = 15 degrees??

I just think the strange pattern might be confusing the ecu.

Cheers ashy

is the failing a trigger signal strength/reliability or position?

Have you had a timing gun on it?

Should be 60-2, and as long as you get it in the region, and have it running non advanced at 10 deg, you can dial it in on the timing gun.
