number plate laws?

ive had my number lates tinted, does any one no the laws on this, it can be read from 10m away any futher and it just looks black:S

its still reflective, im just unsure of what the laws are on number plates that are tinted

ive seen a euro golf round my way with em on, looked good but did just look dirty from a distance, looks better on that colour though, as this was like a dark red

to be honest the amount of people who drive around with shitted up numberplates, i dont think they'll bother with you
