As some of you may have seen i bought myself a DC5 on monday night. With a trip to the 'ring booked for the friday, meant i had 3/4 days to get used to the car. This didnt really happen, so on friday at 4:30 i set off to loughborough to meet a mate and travel down to dover.
Focus RS - 400bhp
Arrived saturday afternoon with no problems, there was a VLN race taking place, of which we knew one of the drivers for the audi tt rs (fwd, Rotek racing team) Uli Baumert, hes also a Test engineer for AMG - Good person to know really
That night, which is also carnage when we get there, started with a trip to the PK, where i managed to finish two steak on a stone meals, it had been a long day, and i was hungry
Went to be around 2am
Alarm set for 8am the next day to make sure i was awake for the track opening

Another mate that came with us, was in his "run about M5" until he picks up his new M6 neext week!!
This thing did a lap
Took about 35 minutes! Everyone cheered when it set off, was hilarious!

We went to uli's house as the M5 wasn't running Right so he plugged it in for a nosey, lovely place to live

As i had booked a later ferry i didnt need to set off unitl about 4pm, so i went around for a few pics.

I then decided to set off about 4pm, so i could have a nice slow drive back. On the way, the weather turned nice, so i searched out the closest beach to calais, that wasnt in france, turned out to be a place called Oostende. Arrived there and took some pics
Bye bye calais, until next time
