Odd suspension noise??

  350z GT
Ok so whenever there are pretty bad bumps in the road or the surface is crap..i get like a sqeaky kind of knocking sound from the drivers side of the car...

The same sound also happens when turning full lock and pulling away when its fully turned...

could it be the mounts?? but if so would this happen at the back as well??

cheers

Stu

I'm glad you've posted this as I have the exact same thing at the moment. It only seems to happen when pulling away and turning at the same time. Or braking.

I had this problem turned out to be a worn end tracking rod. Cheap enough to replace

Track rod end?

How much for the part and how much time for labour did you have to pay?

Could this also be the cause for slightly uneasy handling in a straight line when accelerating (car feels like it wants to go left and right, but not straight)

My suspension makes an odd clanging noise when I'm on full lock and also over some bumps.

I've put mine down to worn top mounts. It's lucky that I got some ktec solid ones for Xmas :)

Well I have a mk3 Clio but I had the same symtoms the part for mine was only £15 and the labour you could do you self look it up on YouTube there's plenty of videos. You will have to get your tracking re done though you can get it pretty near by just counting how many turns it takes to take your old one off. I would say at a reasonable garage it should cost £30-50. And yeah it does effect your tracking, your best bet is too take the wheel off and see how much play there is.
