Odyssee Ph2 1.6

Car  Inferno 182
May aswell start a thread now my clio is starting to come along :), I did have a 1.6 clio last year but this is what ended up happening to it:

Yeah urm...dont ask!

But anyway couldn't let go of the clio's so bought another 1.6 mk2 ph2, but this time in odyssee blue (which was the colour i originally wanted before the black clio)

So here is the pic of the odyssee After its 1st wash (sorry for bad quality):

Then next thing was to get it on new wheels and coilovers. So ordered some Cades Eros Gold alloy wheels,

2 days later found them when i got back from work :D

Then it was time to get them fitted and also ordered some TA Technix coilovers, got them fitted and lowered it 110 just to see how it would look:

Bit too low for me as i do like to drive my car aswell as like it to look nice, so then raised it back up to 85mm, now its the perfect height to look nice and still be practical. So here's some pics of how it looks now :)

Thanks for reading :)

Looks really nice mate! But iv gotta ask how did it happen to the black one?!

Cheers guys much appreciated. Basically the crash happened by me driving like an idiot on a road i thought i knew, turns out i didn't know it because there seemed to be an extra corner that jumped out at me lol. But oh well we all make mistakes, and we learn from them. Everyone has a car crash sometime in their life and hopefully that was my only one.

whats the ride and handling like on the technix coilovers? looking to get myself a set for my 1.6 but debating whether to save a little longer and go for the v maxx set.

Ride is very harsh, but the handling is one hell of alot better now with them on, but i've never been in a clio on v maxx so wouldn't be able to compare the differences :/ but the TA Technix are very good for the price.

to be honest i dont think the ride is going to be that comfortable either way, im not particularily fussed tbh my last lowered clio was harsh but i soon got used to it. cheers for the info. :)

what size are you alloys? they look mega. was thinking about getting some myself but didnt know what size to go for?

Theyre 16". It's the perfect size IMO, nice stance on it but no scraping and it's lowered 85mm. With 15" you would have to lower it even more for the wheels to sit nicely in the arch but guaranteed the front splitter would scrape.

Thats fantastic mate. Really nice and a tad different. And because of the style of the wheels they dont look to big. I think 15's would be to small.

Youve got me looking at them cades now!

Colour code next?

Thanks :) yeah the 16's sit perfectly, and go for it they're stupidly cheap, cost me £533 brand new for the full set inc. Yokohama s drive fitted on delivery.

And yes the colour coding I'd definitely coming next.

Thanks everyone, yeah agreed I think a cup spoiler will finish it off nicely after all my other plans.

Monday this needs cleaning and more pics again :p
have you ordered more Zaino? :))
I'm going to order some if you haven't :)

The project how now come to an end :( am selling the car as ive just bought an inferno 182. So took a few last pics before she goes.

How did you find the ta technix? I'm looking at them for a cheap low on the same wheels. How did the 85mm drop handle speed bumps?

Nice thread revival!

I had TA Technix on my old 1.6 as well. I remember them being a bit crashy on uneven roads but they were perfect for what I was after. - Cheap lows.

Regarding speed bumps, I always went over them at a few mph and mine was only lowered about 60mm.
