OE stereo stalk controls - cost/replacement?

The stalk controls in my 182 have been broken whilst my car was at a bodyshop (which they deny all knowledge of :nono. The scroll wheel has been pushed in so it no longer works and the volume buttons also now function intermitantly.

Does anyone know:

A)how to remove & replace the stalk, is it a steering wheel off job?

B)the cost for a new stalk.

remove the 2 screws from underneith the steering wheel plastic cover stuff, it holds the top and bottom plastic covers together. remove both plastic covers and you should see the fixings for the stalk. as far as i know, its not a wheel off job
