Clio 197
So I look at some oil specs in my (citroen) user manual...
...now, they may be wrong but according to them:
10w40 (as recommended by the manufacturers for UK) works OK as low as -4c.
But, I've read elswhere that 10w40 will work at much lower temperatures than that?!
Regardless, due to the fact that I have at least 4 cold starts a day (and I mean stone cold), I'll probably opt for 5w40 again, because it's flows that little bit better at low temperatures.
It's a shame that various google searches has given me conflicting information as to what the 'safe' operating range of 10w40 oil is.
Anyone care to share any respectable links to help shed any light on this?
Many thanks,
Oms.
