Oil breather

Right my Clio idels like s**t whilest having a look at it today I noticed a small bronze pipe just under the tb is this the oil breather out let if so some one has blanked it of is this why it's running like a ford

I'm pretty sure that has to have the ability to breath, mine has a small filter.

That's what I'm thinking I shall order a small filter now

Normally has a black pipe there that runs down to the acoustic valve, if the acoustic valve has been removed it needs that pipe blanking off other wise the car will idle very high. The breather is at the back of the rocker cover.

Am I right in thinking that there's only a acoustic valve on phase 2s and not on 1s

pipe is a vacuum hose. if it's not actuating a valve it's just blanked.

Get plugged in to proper diagnostics to get to the route of your problem

usually thats the Fuel pressure regulator vacuum,

Could that be while the fuel gauge is not working properly as well ?
