Oil/coolant Quantities

  ValverInBits
Got to go do oil+coolant on a 1.2 16v MK2Ph2

Thought I'd start a thread with some useful information for people wanting to service their own cars and also to find out if there is a bleed plug on a 1.2

1.2 16v D4F
Oil Capacity - 4.8 litres
Oil - 10W40 or 5W40
Coolant capacity - ? around 5 litres?

Is there a bleed bolt/plug/nipple on the 1.2 16v?

2.0 16v F4R
Oil Capacity - 4.8 litres
Oil - 10W40 or 5W40
Coolant Capacity - ? somewhere around 6 or 7 litres?
Coolant bleed bolt is one of the 10mm bolts on the thermostat housing. This is on the right (N/S) of the cylinder head under the throttle body.

1.8 16v F7P
Oil Capacity - 4.2 Litres
Oil - 10W40 or 5W40
Coolant Capacity - 7.0 litres
JB3 gearbox capacity 3.4 litres
Coolant drain plug on the back of the block - 10mm iirc

If you can add anything to this including other engines, please do

1.2 16v D7F just done oil and coolant

2 bleed nipples. One on the hose into the heater matrix which is obvious and very close to the coolant bottle.
One tucked under the airbox where the top rad hose meets the thermostat housing on the right of the head. It's a small one, dust cap sized.
Got away with 4 litres for a good fill up of oil. Needed to remove drivers side wheel for better access to the oil filter so I could stab it with a screw driver to get it off.
