Not a race car or road car just a once every couple of month track car.

Obviously I see the benefits of running one but is it something needed ???

Have you checked oil temps with a gauge Adam G ?

Don't mean that to sound sarcastic as I was looking into an oil cooler for track work as well, but was going to fit a temp gauge to see if it was necessary first

No I haven't Jon. I know of very few standard engined Clios that run one. If Fred would have said I needed one, then it would have one. After all the track miles mine's done, it says to me that it isn't needed. If people want to fit one for peace of mind then fair enough.

I may well fit a gauge at some point next year just to keep an eye on things. Then decide from there then!
