Oil leak found

Just got my car back from the garage.

My oil leak was from the cam carrier pins.

Anyone had this before?

Only has it done today so will check the drive tomorrow

The leak tended to be be near the drivers wheel area on the drive

They said they fitted washers to the cam carrier pins to stop the leak

doesn't sound like they know the engine very well if they don't recognise the factory fit leaking rocker cover

The F4R is the engine mate, just the engines code.

and it's a cambelt of job to fix it properly. You might get away with removing bolts and applying a bit of sealer for a while, but it'll deteriorate again eventually

Where would we be without sealer?

Is there just a rubber gasket under it?

the special tool from renault to apply the sealer (and i'm not joking here) is a plastic tray and a foam paint roller, same as what you can buy in B&Q!!

The seal works pretty well if applied properly. You shouldn't need much
