oil leak on a 172

seem to have an oil leak on the drivers side that was wondering if any body else has had such a think on theirs?

thought may of been filter related so did full change etc but looks like its more of on the drivers side of the wheel side of engine.... sump gasket maybe? any ideas folks? its loosing quite a bit at a rough guess of the amount thats down the underside of the car

are u sure its oil and not grease? coz if its grease it could be a split cv boot!

check all gaiters (CV and driveshaft) and check the oil draining plug.

pretty sure its oil due to its mess! doesnt feel or look like grease from a cv joint. guess i'll have a proper look sunday when i have the day off.
