Oil levels and consumption 172 Cup

  182
1 litre between min and max

I would say half litre per 10k would be about right dependant on driving style and condition

half liter per 1k is acceptable by renault standards. Personally I'd say half litre per 2-3k is fine if you drive hard, but a very healthy engine should use next to nothing.

Mine's an alcoholic at times, others the oil level rises on it's own  as i've found out by monitoring it

We used about 100-200ml of oil on a 2000 mile euro trip including a few days at the ring and a day at spa and we did quite a few hundred miles at over 100mph on the road.
In normal road use it doesn't use anymore than that between changes.

Be keeping a VERY close eye on it now for sure!

Hope it's my error and not the car TBQFH

Checked mine twice today - first dip it was a few mm off the low marker! 2nd dip it was fine!

Both checked 10 mins after a drive

You have problems there I'm afraid tigger or no disrespect you can't check oil. Are you checking both sides of stick as it can touch the tube with oil in it and give a false reading on one side. Dip a few times to make sure.

Was just thinking that earlier, and could be misleading me, but id normally
pull the stick out
wipe it
back in
back out
hold horizontal & inspect

Actually never thought of checking both sides
