Oil - Motul 300V 20W60 - Suitable?

Hi,

Time for an oil change, and I may have overdone it with the oil. Having little choice in quality, ester oils in my area, I found a small garage that enters cars into rallies, who have provided me with 6 litres of:

Motul 300V Le Mans, Ester, 20W60 oil

This was not cheap - this may be a bit of an overkill for the 172, but is it safe to use?

Bit too thick when cold.

The 20 side of it is a little thick like dan says, although should be ok in summer months.

300V is epic oil, you can properly abuse it and still get good results, it will take huge temperatures in its stride.
