Oil Pressure Gauge, Help !

My car drives perfect but sometimes when im revving high the oil pressure gauge sits at Zero ! And surely if there was a problem with my oil pressure the car would not run good ? Or wouldnt i notice any diffrent..?

Do u recon the gauge is dodgy as sometimes it works fine then other times it sits at zero.

if it ran at 0 oil pressure it would soon go pop. to a limit the higher the pressure the better, everyones 16v seems to idle at diff pressure and rev at a diff level but definetly not 0.

theres a oil pressure light aswell which would warn you, but basically youve got a dicky dial or wiring to it... whack it a few times when it drops cos that works with my oil level gauge.

sounds like the gauge on the dashboard is faulty or you have a poor connection somewhere between the sensor and the gauge
