Oil.....

  Skoda
Seems to be at lot of threads on here about oil just recently.... Here's my take on it...

As some of you know I work with Apache AH.... The MOD employ scientists at our place on a pretty penny who's sole job is to analyse the fuel and lubricants from the cabs.... With an engine costing as much as all the cars on cliosport put together they need to be pretty spot on with their work...

When I got the FRS from new I asked one of the guys to analyse my oil after 500ish miles... came back with zero contaminates which didn't surprise me... He said changing it would be a waste of money..... I had it done again at 1000ish and again last month at 2500ish miles... same result zero contaminates.... I'll get it done again just before the oil change is due to see what state its in but I'm guessing the same result....

The info they can get from these tests is amazing (well it amazes me anyway). They can predict a failure before it happens from the gases and contaminates in the oil.... clever stuff

Perks of the job i suppose. Im sure that someone could make a few ££££ if they offered this as a service on owner club sites

The test may show no contaminates but what about oil viscosity can that be tested.

Looks like you work at Sutton Hoo airfeild. Done a couple of track days there.
