Ok so now I'm confused - Emissions warning light and climate control issues! 182

I posted last week when my emissions warning light first came on and as I'd just filled upi with Vpower I put it down to that.

100 miles in and the light is still on - car is a little hesitant at times and my climate only blows hot regardless of what temperature I set it too.

Was thinking of checking the sensors in the exhaust and giving them a bit of a clean but now the climate going tits up is worrying me that it's something more serious.

Are these likely to be connected or just another coincidence?

Getting very frustrated with this car now but hoping they're all easy and low cost fixes as I have the cambelt change next week too!

hi there,

i run my 182 with a decat sport system and was expecting the emisions light to come on straight away but it only happened after i filled it up with the vpower fuel and hasnt gone off since.

as for the your climate controll im not sure. i have air con in mine which i belive has a leak in the system so doesnt work :( does the temp vary or is it constantly hot whatever the temp setting you have it on?

Climate was fine and then i came to use the car yesterday - been away for a couple of days - and the climate was blowing really hot regardless of what setting the climate was on.

I was trying to de-mist the window (normally it applies the air con here to clear quicker) but even though the air con light was on it still blew hot - I tried a variety of settings and it didn't change.

Loosing my rag with this car now which is a shame becasue it's awsome to drive

i had mine for less than 24 hours and my blowers wouldnt work what so ever and with it being a private sale there was no warranty so i googled it and found the problem so all i can recomened is that you try the same.

Just drove it back from work - 8 mile journey and the climate worked all the way home! I'm not sure whether intermittent faults are more annoying than things that just stop bl**dy working.

On a separate/connected issue my car is booked in for a cambelt/aux belt kit in the next couple of weeks with a renault specialist and I've been reading bits on here regarding the dephaser pully rattling on idle - i'm pretty sure mine does this as when it's idling it makes a bit of a racket - (someone on here described it as a skeleton w*nking into a tin can - but mines not quite as loud as that).

My question is will this be replaced as part of the belt changes?

Quick answer "no"

Its about £150 extra iirc - I had mine done and the waterpump/coolant at the same time, saved doing it later down the line and costing you more...

i had my dephaser pulley done last week. i bought all the parts myself and sent it into a local garage. if you think its on the way out then ask for it to be replaced whilst there changing the belts.
