ClioSport PH2
Well where do I start...
Bought my Monaco CS 172 last month and have been very very busy ever since...:boring:
When purchasing the car I knew it needed work, which is exactly why I bought cheap but knew I'd end up spending more than I should.:nono:
As you may have followed through my previous threads first job to attack was a full renewal of shock absorbers coupled with Eibach springs, first major difference, very very impressed. Same time decided to uprate Dog Mount to Poly, Brill!:approve:
Then made a trip down to boys at JMS where it was treated to new CAM & AUX belts coupled with a gearbox oil flush and renew.
Yesterday my service items came from Renault.
* ELF 5w40
* Oil Filter
* Air Filter
* Pollen Filter
* Plugs
Now to my HORROR even though car had a FSH main dealer and specialist and had only done 50k genuine, th plugs were orignals never been replaced and so was the pollen filter, ive seen cleaner pigs in sh*t than the state of that filter. So smell from vents well and trully cured LoL!:evil:
At the same time as the full service decided to sort exhaust blow which ended up just being bolts loose on rear section sleev so replaced all mountigs and re-fitted exhaust and tightened all bolts, now blows gone!
Test drove the car and all I can say is WOW! what a difference plugs and fresh oil make, car feels so much smoother, idle and cold start is much much much improved and its now nice and quiet, just how I like it!
Its amazing how a few hundred pounds have literaly restored a neglected genuine example to its former glory! car is absolutely faultless!
Next job is booking into a bodyshop to get front bumper and wings sprayed as they have been vicitm to a few stone chips lol and now on hunt for a under car bumper tray thingy as mine is slightly broken.... anyone?
