OMP exhaust noise

Doing another trackday at the end of the month and wondered if anyone knew if i would be okay noise level wise with my decatted omp system? Had a ktec stealth previously with decat and unsilinced centre which measured 94 ish db. Noise limit is 105db, i reckon i should be okay?

Started life as the standard one but with decat and silencer removed basicallly ended up a supersports system

Are you sure 94db?

There was one at a track day I was at and sounded way louder than that. It was louder than my Decat yozza system by some margin.

This was at knockhill who don't really care about noise levels so it was ok but some other tracks are just kill joys.

My omp with a cat registered 98db @ Oulton, dunno how loud it'd be decatted.

Funny you mention that. Cause I go to KH for my track days I've never really bothered about noise as you can get away with fighter jet engine in the back of your car there.

I meant to bring home the noise meter from work this weekend to test mine out of curiosity but forgot. I'll get it on Monday and check.

I think the noise checks they do are at fast idle at 1m away and then a drive by at full chat.

They tested my car at 4000rpm and had the mic so far away from the back. Popping over to see my nan on tuesday so will go to oulton park on the way back. Will let you know how i get on. Oh and some of the cars there last time were much louder than mine. Ferrari, some kind of kit car etc. Although i think it was a test day for them so the rules may be different?

Quick update. Was passing oulton so popped in. 101db, louder than last time lol
