Torrents are better as mega upload only let me download 1 out of 3 rar files before reaching my "limit" for today.

1. Plug in your iPhone.
2. Start iTunes.
3. Right click your iPhone from within iTunes, click Backup.
4. Once complete, go to iPhone Info/Summary page.
5. Hold down Shift, and press Restore.
6. From the Explorer window, select the IPSW you downloaded.
7. Let the restore complete.
8. Activate it, turn off your internet and let it just sort itself out.
9. Once activated, restore your earlier backup to the device (will restore contacts/texts/photo's etc).

These are for Mac or PC.

Martin Fields are second to none. Most will say you can get cheaper ones but you get what you pay for.

VERY good, had them on my last 20 or so phones, including 1st gen iPhone.

That will only become active within the settings when you install a app which requires it.

I don't think it'll have a separate section as everyone will be able to use 3.0 next Wednesday onwards. Push apps have not been officially released to the app store yet and those which were used during the beta test have currently been disabled.

You'll be prompted to update each of your current apps as normal when a new version becomes available. I'm guessing Facebook for example will employee push notifications.

You're right tho - if you're looking for an app to try out push notifications with then i'm not sure if iTunes will group some of the most popular ones together or not.

If you lose your phone and subscribe to mobileme, then you can locate your phone on a map, send a message (with optional sound) to ask somebody to return it and also the ability to remote wipe it.

I've used them on my N95 8GB before but I was hoping (well I was told) there's decent "clip on" protectors to keep the whole thing safe rather than just the screen. I could be wrong though as I've never owned an iPhone before.

Personally I'd avoid at all costs. Can cause damage by rubbing on the phone body and bits of dust/dirt/general crap get stuck under it. I'm also unsure of the benefit in the event of a dropping!

Yes new on the 3G handsets. The 1st Gen iPhone does not support it.
