Only if their phone has support for them. It's mainly a Japanese thing.

Welcome to the best smartphone available ;) 16gb black is the smart choice. I'd go with a hard case, I use one and I think it has saved my iPhone on several occasions.

This screen protector is excellent and lessens the effect of fingerprints on the screen.

Ive had my iphone since friday and the 3G still isjnt working i took it to o2 and apple who said to wait 48 hours so i have done and it still isnt working.I rang o2 up today to see if it hadnt been activated properly spoke to a spaz who told me that i need to try a different area.When i activated it i retored it to the backup of my old iphone will this have caused it?

Well got a new handset tried and didn't work restored and started it as a new phone it works so it was because I was restoring it to the backup of my 2g

by the way guys I had my 3g iphone succesfully unlocked 2day and its working perfectly with my "3" simcard. fingers crossed it stays that way!

Don't run the latest update then, not till it's confirmed to work with the unlock.

Ok, my old number has transferred over ot ym iphone today.

I have just tried to send a message to a matey but it won't send. just comes up with message sending error.

any ideas why?

just thought i'd ask prior to rining 02... ta

Its probably the service centre number from the soudns of it, but I dont know where that is on the iPhone.

Is it definitely transferred? Does it ring?

Sounds like the service centre number isnt correct for text then.. Doesnt appear to be an option for it though..

Ask Tom, he might know..

i had this problem when my number was transferred last week. just turn it off and on every hour until it works. its usually the last service to become active so i was told by O2 when i rang up. its nothing to worry about.

anyone know how to get vidoes onot the iphone? I tried to sync soem vids i have on my comp but it says the iphone does not support that format?

Also does anyone know the deal with that program that you can make your own ringtone?

settings > general > location services OFF

settings > general > netwrok > data roaming OFF

Anything else I need to do to ensure i don't get caned on charges?

If I want to put pictures onto my iphone what folders if any do I need to create? That may be a null point as it won't let me create any folders :S

Can't edit my post but I've worked it out. Created a new folder in windows, put the pictures I wanted on my phone in there and then synced that folder via itunes.

On wankdows when you plug the iPhone in it pops up with the the standard wankdows dialog for importing images from a device.

On OS X it starts iPhoto and you can import them from there.
