Started out on 1.0.2 and upgraded/unlocked/jailbroke through the ranks. Then got bored. I was considering a new iPhone a few weeks back. Hmmmm.

lol, I remember the 1.1.4 days. You need 2.2.1 just for the Emoji icons. Hours of fun.

I wouldnt bother with the 3G, Roy. iPhone III isnt far away..

TBh iPhone 3G was designed for pikeys who couldn't afford the proper metal one so had to wait until it was cheap. Old school Full Metal Jacket iPhone FTMFW.

The new iPhone is unlikely to hit stores before June. They'll announce the software next week and then make the SDK for it available to developers. It'll be a couple of months before they think of releasing it via iTunes.

I think Typing Genius from the app store is still able to activate the emoji icons. Apple removed most of the other apps.

Hopefully mine will actually let me view Youtube vids on wireless again....seems to have been s**t since the last update and works quicker on 3G than my wireless now

I love the fact that these morons keep harping on about this:

Apple also released updates for Core Location to support determining the cardinal direction and velocity of an iPhone 3G using GPS, features required for providing turn by turn driving directions.

Why do they keep perputating this, like it's the reason that there have been no official releases of satellite navigation software? I hate to break it to them, but if you have latitude and longitude from 2 known points in time, then you by definition have velocity and direction, if you moved!
