Well i would assume they will be bringing the new hardware out with v3.0?

The software will be announced at 6PM and the release can be pretty much instant as its only a press of a few buttons.

The phone is a bit more complex and depending on what you believe/hear, it could be out tomorrow, friday, next friday or at some point in July.

Is the 3.0 software going to make handling Email anymore like a Blackberry i.e PUSH? Sold my iPhone months ago! Just a POP account nothing fancy really and ideally my Gmail account although not strictly needed!

Another good thing would be if could create group contacts.

For example...

Group name: Family - assign all your family members to it, so when you want to send a message to all of them you dont have to type there names in one by one.

When i get in from work, if I start up itunes and connect my phone then just leave it (assuming v3 is released tonight) will it just sort it self out? Or will the phone explode with over excitment of being updated?

^^ yeah think it does but it will be very simple to update as it will automatically tell you when you sync the phone with itunes if there is an update.

yeah thats cool, was just wondering if Itunes checks constantly if that makes sense..

example....plug phone in at 5:50, update released at 6:00 will it then ask to update? (that was the question kinda lol)

or would it be a case of unplug the phone and plug it in again to check ..

I've got a 3g Iphone 8gb Black which I am happy with. Dont really like the Rubber back of the new one But the light up apple logo Pwns. So i wont be getting the new phone.

However, I want to be able to send MMS, Copy and paste, Forward MEssages and delete selected messages rather than whole convosation, Which i believe the new Iphone will have.

I presume the software for this will become avaliable to download Free of charge on I tunes? Iwill not need to jailbreak etc? If this is correct, When will the update be avaliable or has thta information not been released?

The first bit, where have you been for the last 3 hours? Its all wrong. Its plastic again. No light up logo.

You can do all the bits you want to do with 3.0 which is available for you, for free, from next weds on iTunes. You press "update" and it will do it all for you.

You can't upgrade until you would normally be allowed an upgrade. So after 15/18 months.
