OH and is 16GB sufficient for the average user? I've got about 5GB of music, wouldn't really watch movies on it, so will 16GB be alright? (no idea how much space apps take up etc)

I got 32 - but I'm a music wh0re. Depends how much you regularly listen to. 16GB should be fine for most, IMO.

Or if you're a real music wh*re, and Apple only make one portable device big enough. :o

All mine goes on a 120gb Classic, in the car, then i have a selection of films/tv/music on my iPhone.

Both are white, of f*cking course.

Tru dat. I want it all in one though, none of this car iPod malarkey. My bag has enough tripe in it without phones, iPod's and such likes. Woman, innit.

Nah, the cracks at the dock connector is a known fault, I had some dints on mine that I caused when it fell from my pocket after about a month of ownership and they didn't say anything.

He looked for water damage and that was it, replaced with no questions asked.

Anyways mine has a crack do I take it back to cpw or apple to get replaced?

If the crack is on the dock connector, make an appointment with a genius* at the apple store and they will replace it there and then.

(* note, apple geniuses may not actually be geniuses)

Just picked up mine, booked an Appointment at the Southampton Apple store for 12:00 walked in at 11:50 walked out with my 16gb 3GS at 12:00, well impressed so far!!!!

Got my ( first ) iphone this morning , 16gb 3Gs ( not really gonna use it as a ipod ) in MAN black over 18 month.

No unlimited text bolt on ( on 02 for iphone ) whats the best thing to do?
