Ongoing 1.4 16v project

Been a member for a while now and realised i had never made a project thread. I bought it 5 years ago and not much changed until last summer but now it's finally getting close to how i want it. The first couple of pics are how it looked when i bought it.

It came with 17" BSA wheels which when i was 17 i quite liked (not sure why)

Wheels refurbed, i hate this picture now. Makes it look ridiculously high!

Finally in summer 2012, i took the plunge and bought a budget set of Ta Technix coilovers and started looking for a new set of wheels. I also shortened the standard arial, just cut a section out of it and stuck the end back on (still works perfectly). De-wipered the rear and got rid of the chavvy 16v badge on the back.

Found a set of Satin white (light cream) Audi pepper pots with virtually brand new slightly stretched yokohoma tyres. Managed to get the guy down to a decent price so set off on a 200mile round trip to pick them up.

Since i took these pictures the coilovers have settled and dropped slightly. They are wound all the way down at the front with the adjusters out at the back too.

Plans for the next few months are:

• Head gasket
• Timing belt kit
• Water pump
• Paint the audi badges, diamond and clio badge (undecided on the colour)
• Aero wipers
• New plates
• Remove dents
• 3M Headlight refurb

Several other small things to bring it up to standard including a good clean!

Not a bad start mate! Keep at it though. I used to be a fan of the big 17" alloys too. But keep this going, wil look great in the end!

Really like that! It's hard to get something that different that looks the part on the clio but I think that looks great.

Good effort! Now get a Renault sport grille on it!

Aye tell me about it, thanks though! I may do. Its poorly at the moment though so first job is to get it back on the road
