Use the shift light.
It is not as simple as peak power as the lower gear will still give you better acceleration for a few hundred revs after peak power than if you shifted up.
Shift light? Really? It's not a shift light guys!
LOL at the shift light again.
You want to change above peak so when the revs drop your still on cam i would of thought?
Thats what i do anyway, brap brap! :race:
It's a Renault. In the handbook it says lots of things.
It's not a Shift Light because it comes on in 5th gear as well

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/optimum
Optimum, the best or most favorable point.
Renault call it a optimum gear change light and you set a shift light to light up at a optimum point. Its exactly the same idea just worded different.
No it doesn't FFS. The optimum point is around 6.5k. I give up.Where it comes in at it totally irrelevant.
The Renault lights up at the optimum. You set a aftermarket shift light to change at your optimum point.
Its exactly the same principle and end result ie, it lights up you change gear
No it doesn't FFS. The optimum point is around 6.5k. I give up.
