original 172 air filter

quick question im changing the orignal air filter to an itg panel filter when i get the chance in my 172 but the one thats in there at the moment is disgustingly dirty anyway of giving it a good clean? im sure its not helping with the cars breather capabilities. cheers for an advice guys

Dont't think so, they're designed to be chucked out on the service intervals and replaced

Service the car properly

If your chnaing the filter very soon don't bother otherwsie buy a new filter there cheap enough.
