Just had a quote from Mark Fish to change the Cambelt £460+vat and then Clutch £500/600!!..so looking at about £900 or so to do both at the same time!.He said the cambelt is one of the hardest to do on a clio!.:S

All Renault parts tho.

Is that just Cambelt? If doing cambelt I would do Aux as well :) average price for all belts on a 182 is about £750 so think yourself lucky :(

yeah I had an idea on the price for the cambelt, never thought clutch would be that much tho!.so annoying tho as you can get clutch kit for like £120 and about the same for cambelt kit!.thing is the clutch is fine,i just need the release bearing changed and there only £10 haha!

Op needs to see which specialist on here is cheaper then judge the distance for the amount of petrol that's going to be used getting there.

Edit: have you tried Rentech in pompey??

to compare we're £290 (add £175 for dephaser + oil + filter) on a 172 cup (non aircon) and £399 to do the clutch

Btm performance is who fred is, basically. Very well known specialist on here, lots of people will reccomend him.

Mate I had my belts don't by Fred last year. I travelled up from Essex and it was well worth the journey.

I highly recommend him.

that's cheap for belts + dephaser! good stuff!

just out of interest, why are clutch's so much?! is it the parts of labour that's making it that high?
