Over Heating!!!

Willy was over heating while I was stuck in traffic today...

I havent got a heatshield by the manifold, as it fell apart when the clutch was fitted. Will getting a new heatshield help out the problem or shall I go for one of these???...

heatsheild wouldnt cause the engine to overheat.does the cooling fan work?

Yeha it seems to be coming on, but not till at very high temps...

the low temp fan switch seems to be what you need.

Might be a stupid question, but wots the point of the heatshield then?

to protect the brake pipes etc from the heat off the manifold.i would still get a heatsheild even though thats not the cause of the problem this time.

i dont think the heatsheilds that much,about £30 i think.

Oh ok, actually Renault are suppose to be the cheapest aswell I think - quite strange???
