Pagid pads and BB cross drilled discs

nope. The pagid pads are just standard oem pads, not to be confused with the real race pads (Pagid blue, yellow, ceramic etc.). The discs I dont know.

If you want to do something useful, forget the discs, and buy yourself a set of decent pads. Ferodo 2500, Mintex 1144/55 from demon tweeks. Or if you want to push the boat out pagid blues from ktec at twice the price.

No theyre not!

Ive had those Pagid pads in the past (on my 106 GTi) and they are a fast road pad and much better than an oem pad.

They were good pads and Id have them again...

As for discs, standard ones are fine unless youre doing track work and if so the Pagids aint really suited to that anyway. I used to run Mintex M1144s with standard discs on my 106 GTi and did several trackdays with no problems.

the BB pagid pads are hardly any better than the standard cup/172 pads both for normal road and track use. A lot of people will be mislead by the reference to "Pagid" and think they are getting proper Pagid race pads. When I ordered mine I asked that question exactly, and the contact at BB told me "yeah absolutely"... I didnt bother returning them as I go through pads reasonably quickly and I can do with another set of road pads. But thats just what they are = another set of road pads. The braking distance with the pagids and the oem pads is precisely the same.

So in short, if you want uprated pads, you will not get them from BB under the "pagid pads and drilled disc" package..and I wasnt overly impressed with BBs lack of clarity.

On the 106 GTi the Pagid "fast road" pads were miles better than the oem ones...

Just had some Carbon Metallic pads fitted to my Mk2 172 and they are superb - far more bite and considerably better braking performance...
