I just got my hologram grey aeroseol from autopaint.co.uk and have put the first coat of paint on and it looks like a totally different colour all together? Like a much lighter grey....IS this just a crap match or should it get more pure with more coats?
id put about 4 light coats on mine when i was doing it... although i seemed to find the laquer really brought out the true color once it had been put on and left to harden.
worked out a perfect match for me from auto-paint.co.uk
If the paints not matching its not matching , simple as . Lacquering won't change the shade it will only give a gloss finish . I'd get back on to autopaint if i were you .
I used autopaint years ago on my Pug 306 and the match wasn't that good either . I use a local motor spares place now and the match is always spot on
Try a local motor part suppliers ,they usually mix paint . The one i use supplies local garages with parts but sells to the public as well . Always spot on with their colour match .
^^ Thats weird , it says they do . Have you tried one of your local motor parts suppliers , the ones that usually supply to the trade ? They can usually match around 40,000 different colours .
Yeah he said he doesnt think its one usually stocked in aerosols ....No but i think im going to after this...See a person face to face about it!
Cheers guys
