painting an engine cover.

would i need heat resistant paint for painting my engine cover and ik tube. Im not too sure how hot it gets under there, i could always shove a hamster under the bonnet and take it for a ragging then see how hot it is?

When i painted mine i just used normal paint and its still ok at the minute. Theres no sign of the paint coming off.

hammerite is heat resistant and cheep and comes in different colours.

dont need heat resistant paint.

covers plastic and doesnt get anywhere near hot enough to warrent heat resistant paint.

you imagine a car on a bright hot summers day 30 degrees, you cant hold your hand on your bonnet or roof because its so hot, yet that paint is fine.
