Painting mirrors

Got a set of DTMs I want to fit for SUnday, spent tonight shaping the baseplate to fit nicely.

Now my dilema. I could just fit them and make do for now (black)

or I could have a bash at spraying them. (got the primer, paint) + laquer

Is it difficult, any tips?

oh yeah do I spray parallel to the mirror or follow the curve of the mirror?

A lot of people keep them unpainted..
