Parcelline!! Argh

Was ment to have a phone delivered today so first thing this morning i phoned orange and asked them to give the parcelline driver my mobile number because my house is difficult to find. They said that had been done which is fine.
Phoned 10 minutes ago and orange said that the parceline website says it was not delivered because there was not enough time, Yet 5:30pm is when deliverys stop!.
I got the consigment number and looked at the parcelline website and it said:

Unable to deliver because there isnt enough time at 1:15pm?? 4 hours and 15 minutes before they clock off??? Some joke surely?
Can anyone shed light on why this would happen?. Not to happy at being stuck in the house all day waiting for it!

dunno but i'd go f**king mad if i were you, then i'd calm down and ring parcel line and ask them exactly why it wasnt delivered?!

I've just noticed i posted this in the wrong forum (Sorry!)
I've looked on the parcelline website but cant find a number that matches why i have to call them. tryed a random one but it rang and then sounded like it was connected to dial-up internet!

Really not happy about this

didnt get a yellow card because i was in the house. phoned orange and got another number for them (A number i couldnt find anywhere on the website!) The chap on the end of the phone said it will be delviered before 12 noon tomorrow. So thats not too bad i suppose. Still a bit upset at not being phoned (Driver had direct instructions to call my mobile) but im just being a bit petty i guess!.

why dont you get it redelivered to your work? Saves taking days off, and you dont need to 'wait around' as it were.

i dont think your being petty at all, its their mistake if the driver was too lazy to deliver it.

as jonas said get it delivered to work thats where i get most stuff sent

yeah, i bought a load of bits for my computer, and i couldnt keep having time off work waiting for bits to arrive, so had it all redelivered to work. Work places are generally ok with you doing that, as long as it isnt all the time, thats what i found anyway lol

Yeah i had bad experiences when i ordered my phone from orange, they said next day turned up 3 days later

Cheers for the replys. I'd go pick it up but I'm on the east coast so screw driving just outside Glasgow to pick it up. I'll be upset if it doesnt arrive before 12 today.

I'd have got it delivered to work but Orange said they could only sending it to my card address because of the credit rating "Still suffering from my teens :-(). Plus I've been off work for a month with a gammy back so would mean i've to drive and get it.

Mark - Its the K800i but it's for my girlfriend, she spends far to much on her pay as you go so thought i'd treat her.

Shocking!!! was ment to be here by 12 noon. i phoned as it wasn't and the guy said the driver wasnt made aware of it!!! just phoned again and he wont be here for another hour!!!!!!!!. One of the customer support people will be phoning me (Doubt it!) to discuss the situation.
I'm also going to note a complaint in with Orange that i will never order anything from them again if they remain with parcel line.
Not a happy bunny!!! (Yet not aggressive)
