Passengers door leak 172

Over the last couple of weeks been having a problem with water getting in under passengers side door, water seems to be filling up on the door seal then leaking into the footwell and it starting to drive me mad.

Things I've done are:

cleaned all drainage holes behind scuttle panel.
taken doorcard off and resealed it today aswell as running silicone across bottom of doorcard to door.
cleaned all muck behind wheel arch

...still today the water has filled up the seal below speaker and dripped in.

anymore ideas how this could be happening?

I'd install a "shower curtain" behind the door card to deflect the water into the drain holes

I did tape a sheet of plastic to help divert the water done to the bottom of door, sort of like a splash guard. Still it seems to fill up on heavy rain.

Im thinking it must be coming from somewhere else cause I it loads on silicone behind there.

Anyone else got any ideas on a fix please? Seems quiet a common fault.

I've just moved the door seal so the join is where the puddle forms on it hoping now that it will drain away before filling up seal. Seen this on a old tread and thought it may be worth a try.

How did you get on with this fix my seal leaks just beside the seat belt bolt

It worked a treat mate, the water used to drain away. I also sealed up along the bottom of the door card with silicone cause my leak was from behind the door card. Never had a drop of water inside my clio again. Give it a try mate.
