Paypal account limited...howd u know?

Just had a very strane email telling me my account had been limited but the email address they sent it to i aint even got an account under that email.

How would i know when i login to paypal if my account is limited?

Go to the user profile bit, it should have under accounts a bit that says account balance, and account limits. summat like that anyways. without verifying you can only spend up to 500 quid in total on paypal.

yea im a premier user ... i think....when i say limited i mean frozen account ..where u cant send or recieve money?

scam scam scam... never ever go into a website like that, paypal, bank etc by a link.. they can just be a image and then they have your details. easy

I'd say its fake. fake fake fake fake. why would paypal, out of the blue, send you an email saying your account was limited, to an email address which isn't registered with them..

use your noggin mate.

yea well i thought that but ive been having problems with a seller on ebay in another thread i made...thought it may have somthing to do with that.

Just thought it may say somthing when you login to paypal.

I agree with philmots . NEVER EVER log into , paypal , ebay , bank etc from a link in an e mail .

I get these kind of e mails all the time , saying log in now or your account will be suspended , once you do your up sh*t creek without a paddle and they'll have your username and password .

the thing is though ...when i click the links they go nowhere as firefox says thins page cannot be found.

just sent me bro some money and worked a treat got an email saying your payment was succesfull ...surely you cant do this with a frozen account

exactly^^^ no problems with it, just ignore the email.

my dads mate fell for this,, lucky for him realised straight away logged in properly and changed his password..

paypals bad though becuase you can have details on there of a lot of cards etc.

put the mouse over the web address ans see what the link is, should appear in the bottom left hand corner of you browsers windows. These are always from a rogue website, I get these quite a lot!

Yeah its a fake.........I had the same one, sent paypal a email asking if its genuine........it wasn't
