To be honest its hard to beat £80 for an xbox360 Arcade (offer at WHSmith)
Ok they have all the build quality of drive tarmacced by a pikey but iirc it has a tri core CPU and will keep up with much more expensive PC's
That said I am sure say a cheapo C2duo say E6600 and a £100 graphics card could run most things just dandy bar crysis!
Its when you step into the realm of the uber geeks who crave a zillion AA/AF and FPS that things get uber expensive!
