PC import tax??

Hi,
am looking to order a PC soon but has anyone been stung on massive import tax charges? Trying to see if its cheaper to just get a UK spec G220 rather than USA spec PC 7424.

I am asking as i brought some trainers last year and had to pay £40 extra on import tax which a shock to say the least :dapprove:

Autopia should mark it as a "gift", thus avoiding import tax altogether.

If you ask nicely they mark it as $25, add it to shipping comments. Use "INTERNATIONAL" for 10% off.

As above, I had no problems, my PC was ordered from Autopia (west coast of US) on a Friday and arrived here on the Monday. Probably faster than the UK post as well!
