PC not seeing CD/DVD drives, please help!

went to burn a CD today and the computer has decided that there is no CD drive installed even tho it has worked perfectly for two years plus. Checked the device manager and both the CD drive and DVD drive are present but not seen as working by windows. Please help as I'm bafflred! :S

In device manager, delete both IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and reboot. Its worth a crack

You need to reinstall the driver fro the CD/DVD drive. Happen to my laptop an whaile back and had to end up reformatting the harddrive.
