pc problems, keep having to refresh! why?

this pc is going in the bin soon but untill i can find a new one can someone shed some light on why my pc seems to remember old pages and not load up to date pages,
ie if i post this now it wont show when i open technology chat unless i refresh at least once, ?? help please

At a guess I'd say you're using Internet Explorer, so bin it off & install Firefox....you'll never look back!!!

Are you running through any internet proxy servers, your isp might be providing one.
Try, internet settings, connections, lan settings and see if there are any settings for an internet proxy or to pick up proxy automatically.

If you are using a proxy you my be getting served a page from the cache stored on the proxy instead of getting it from the live server.

You may also have set your IE to only check for new pages every so often. Which version of IE are you using? It's not all that bad...

Try deleting all your temp internet files.


tools, options and delete histroy, cookies and temp files.

As said above, delete all the crap.

Stick with IE, Firefox blows.
