pc virus problems sort of.

i hvae got a problem with my laptop, i keep getting a message pop up saying my pc is infected with spyware and when u click on it it take u 2 a website 2 buy a spyware program.iv'e had this before and its not a virus just a scam to make u think u need spyware.i have run adaware and microsoft spyware remover neither of these help.any1 had this b4 and know how 2 remove it as i cant remember how i did it before.

Does this appear when you are not connected to the internet? If so, you have an adware infection. If Ad-aware didn't work, try Spybot:S&D.

get a pop up blocker, or you can use the one ie has built in, it aint the best but it does the job most of the time, to turn it on go to 'tools' in the tool bar and you will see an option called 'pop-up stopper' enable this.

go to downloads.com and get adaware and spybot. then run on firefox rather than i.e and it'll stop pop ups

it aint a popup it is a spyware that fools u into thinking its something 2 do with microsoft.its sorted now anyway.
