They should be there whene you go to choose a map, remember it's just variants of 2 previously available maps, Laguna Presa and Arica Harbour so you may not notice. They are just available in the game types they weren't in before.

Yup. It should auto download for VIP'ers. I noticed it was in my maps as I was choosing a Conquest level. Didn't pick it though, opted for Random as usual.

I love this game. Been playing a bit of conquest and dont get it really.

No matter how much time you spend capturing flags...it still comes down to kills right?

Wrong. The more flags you team holds, the slower your tickets will decrease. If you have 1 flag and the enemy has 2, your tickets will decrease at a faster rate than theirs. I think tickets might also be linked to kills, but not sure on that one.

I'm sure they are, too. It could have been somewhere else on the map or something else happening, but on the Atacama Desert map, it was 33 vs 10 tickets, and I was watching from a pier as a sniper, and noticed a medic taking out 4 of their team together. They're tickets were reduced to 6. I didn't notice at the time how many flags we'd captured, but it seemed to be linked to kills at the time. I did also read that the tickets will decrease quicker depending on how many flags you have though, yes.

Ticket count is on the little map in the lower left corner :

US 55 tickets remaining.
RU 64 tickets remaining.

When they go to 0, it's game over.

Cheers, never f**king noticed that lol. The wife is out tonight so will finally get to have another session. Problem is I've just started exploring JC2, I spent an hour mooching about last night and I think I covered about 2% of the map.

So far I've been unimpressed with DICE/EA/ATI PC version still feels like beta. Still over 50 major bugs need sorting out. Dam console port - roll on BF3.

And I thnk the tickets are the amount of kills you have left as normal but they also get less with time so they're tied to time/people getting slotted.

The more flags you have the slower your death allocation goes down... But if you kill 10 people it'll still go down by 10.

My theory anyway.

It indicates how many previous Battlefield games they own. You can link them to your EA account, apparently.

Loving the rush version of laguna presa, its HUGE got a couple of 50+ kill games just because the rounds take so long.

Probs my fave map atm.

Been playing HC too which is abit more of a challenge.
